MISSION STATEMENT
To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
Research indicates that four elements must be present to ensure a healthy sense of self-esteem in children and to insulate them against the breakdown of positive social forces. If these four factors are in place, a child will probably become a contributing adult. Without all four elements, a child is much less likely to succeed:

A Sense of Belonging: There is a place where I fit in and am accepted.

A Sense of Usefulness: What I do and accomplish is seen and recognized as valuable by others.

A Sense of Competence: There is something I can do and do well.

A Sense of Influence: I have input and power over those things that affect me.

Whether programs meet these four elements is one measurement that we use to evaluate their effectiveness.
