The Bulkeley/UCONN Partnership program is a collaboration between The Bulkeley High School Center of Excellence for Health Professions and the University of Connecticut Health Center through the office of Health Career Opportunities. Our partnership is the marriage of high school students that have expressed an interest in the medical field and a large health center that encompasses: a hospital, medical school, dental school, and a research facility. Students in the Academy take part in enrichment programs including:
(Bulkeley students will receive mentoring by a UCONN medical or college student affiliated with the mentoring program)
All of the planned activities are educational and have been designed for students to learn and be challenged in a real world environment. Upon returning from their field trip, students complete assignments based on their Health Center activities.
Parents are invited to become involved in the partnership by attending sessions with their children.
